The electronic Left Foot Accelerator

At each engine start the original accelerator pedal on the right is always functional. A green lighted pushbitton installed on the dashboard flashes for 10 seconds indicating that a selection of the left foot accelerator pedal is possible.
Making the selection for the left foot accelerator pedal leaves the pushbutton on and the original accelerator pedal is deactivated.
Both accelerator pedals are never active at the same time.
In the absence of a selection, the pushbutton stops flashing after 10 seconds and turns off and the original accelerator pedal remains active. No further selection is possible before the next start of the engine.
The electronic left foot accelerator was tested for electromagnetic compatibility in an anechoic chamber and has been found to be in compliance with the European directive 95/54 EC for electromagnetic compatibility.
